A Country Bed and Breakfast, offering a quiet mountain retreat just outside Flagstaff, Arizona.

The Lodge has 2 living rooms, one up and one down. Downstairs is a sunken living room with a vaulted ceiling, beautiful rock fireplace and raised hearth. The room is furnished with rocking chairs and comfortable couches. Off the living room is a redwood deck for watching the stars or enjoying breakfast in the summer. Upstairs is our other beautiful living room, equipted with flat screen TV  (the only one in the house).  Log frame couches and leather sofas and chairs offer comfortable but casual seating . Our beautiful Parrot "Beauty," a Blue and Gold McCaw resides here.  Wireless Internet available throughout the lodge.

Our dining room is bright  AND ALIVE in the mornings. We serve breakfast from 8 to 9:30. The dining room has a two story vaulted ceiling and is furnished with log and pine tables and chairs. We used reclaimed lumber in the floors, ceiling, railings, decking and various beams and posts. The wood came from several sources including the original Sears building in Chicago, a railroad trestle in Utah and a cotton gin in Alabama! We serve a complimentary full breakfast in our dining room every day that includes an entree item (Chef’s choice), our own homemade granola, breakfast breads, fresh fruit,  juices, fresh roasted and ground coffee, a selection of teas, cocoa and hot cider. Old fashioned oatmeal pancakes with homemade applesauce, Hopi blue corn pancakes and Eggs 'n Croissant  are favorite recipes that often appear on our menu.

At the end of the first floor hallway there’s a cozy and hot cedar lined European sauna. For Phoenix visitors a sauna often doesn’t seem like an amenity but when the temperature drops to 45 degrees in the middle of a summer night you might find it quite comfortable and it’s a definite must for relaxing after a cold winter day!

The best amenity of all is our proximity to acres of national forest lands and convenient distance from downtown Flagstaff and it’s almost constant train noise. If you hike or bike early in the morning the chances of seeing deer or elk are pretty good. In fact, many guests see elk from their own windows or as they return to the Inn late in the evening.

We Know Flagstaff and can send you on the proper journey, the good Restaurants, the places you should go.
