A good choice family of 4 or 2 couples or for an extended stay, there is a large closet to keep extra clothes. Inn Policies Reservations and Office Hours
- Walk in reservations accepted when staff present-advance reservations preferred

Office Open- 8 am to 11 am and 4pm to 6pm, Monday -Saturday, 8am to 11am only on Sundays, Christmas and Thanksgiving. Emergency contact given on check-in.
- Reservations by phone taken 8am to 8pm, Monday through Friday, 8 am to 11 am Sunday. With Vonage Voice messaging your inquiry will generally be returned within a few hours.
- On-line reservations available 24 hours a day at www.abineaulodge.com . Confirmation will be sent within 24 hours .
Cancellations
- Cancellations made more than 14 days in advance are not subject to any fee
- Cancellations made between 14 days and 48 hours of first day of reservation are responsible for the full amount of the reservation unless we are able to re fill the room. If the room is rebooked there will only be a $25 cancellation fee. If the room is not rebooked, the full amount of the reservation will be charged to the card we have on file and a credit of 75% of the reservation will be allowed for a future, non-holiday stay.
- No shows and cancellations less than 48 hours in advance of the first day of the reservation will be charged the full amount of the reservation with no credit given for future stay.
- Trip insurance is available from several sources on-line including www.globaltravelshield.com ; www.travelguard.com; www.tripinsurance.com . Just Google “trip insurance” for available options and companies.
Check In/Out
- Regular check in 4pm to 6pm
- Self Service check in 6pm and later (Ask for details)
- Early check in is generally not available in order to ensure all rooms are clean and ready for arrival
- Check out is 11am
- Late check out is available for an additional $30 fee up to 3pm. Check out after 3 is same as second night booking.
Breakfast, Snacks and Beverages
- Full breakfast is served in the dining room from 8-9:30 every morning
- Snacks including cereal bars and cookies, are available in the dining room at all hours
- Self serve hot beverages-tea, hot chocolate, hot cider, coffee-are available in the dining room at all hours
- In room refrigerator can be provided on request for cold food storage
- A small refrigerator and microwave are available for guests in the upstairs parlor-please dispose of trash in downstairs trash can and do not leave dirty dishes or food items upstairs
Technology
- Cell phone reception is good throughout the property
- Wi-fi is available throughout the lodge
- There is a TV for guests to use in the upstairs parlor
- A PC with internet connectivity is available in the upstairs parlor room for guests; log in as "Guest"
- In the downstairs living room there is a radio/CD player
- There are no in room land lines, radio or TVs
Children and Pets
- Children 8 and over are welcome; please respect the quiet nature of the Lodge and the needs of other guests; do not allow children to use TV, Computer or sauna without supervision and limit time appropriately
- No pets inside; an outside kennel is planned for the summer of 09 for guests with dogs
- The owners have 2 cats, 8 retired sled dogs and 1 Spot dog that live in their own quarters (the sled dog kennel is across the field, the cats and the Spot dog live with the owners at their house next door)
- The Sled Dog serenade is a beautiful and joyous song of the wild.
Miscellaneous
- We are non-smoking throughout although we do allow smoking on one of the outdoor decks except during high fire danger
- We accept MasterCard, Visa, Discover, cash, personal check or travelers checks
- On holidays and weekends we may have a minimum stay. Please check for details
